NEPMA invites members of the New England pest management community to nominate an outstanding colleague for the Bartlett W. Eldredge Award, the Association’s highest honor.

The Bartlett W. Eldredge Award recognizes an individual whose long-term dedication, leadership, professionalism, and service have made a meaningful and lasting contribution to the pest management industry in New England. The recipient should be well known and respected by industry peers and demonstrate a strong commitment not only to the profession, but also to service within their company, community, and the broader industry.

Eligibility

Be an active or retired member of the pest management industry in New England.
Have a demonstrated record of significant, long-term contributions to the industry.
Exemplify leadership, professionalism, and dedication to the pest management profession.
Show meaningful service to industry peers, their company, and/or their community.
Be recognized and respected by fellow professionals in the industry.
Not have previously received the Bartlett W. Eldredge Award.
An individual may receive this award only once.

Nomination Process

You may nominate more than one deserving individual; however, please submit a separate nomination form or survey for each candidate.
Because this is NEPMA’s highest individual honor, nominators are encouraged to provide specific information about the candidate’s career accomplishments, industry involvement, leadership, service, and the lasting impact they have made on others. Strong nominations help the Board of Directors understand why the nominee deserves this recognition.
The NEPMA Board of Directors reviews all nominations and selects one recipient. Unlike certain other NEPMA awards, the Bartlett W. Eldredge Award selection process is not double-blind.

Recognition

The recipient will be recognized at NEPMA’s Annual Meeting & Awards Dinner, held each December. The winner will receive the prestigious Bartlett W. Eldredge eagle award and industry-wide recognition for their contributions to the profession.

NEPMA WDI Recertification 2026 (03 Dec 2026)

Maintain your standing on the NEPMA WDI Registry by completing the required recertification refresher course.

The NEPMA WDI Training and Registration Program is designed for pest management professionals who conduct wood-destroying-insect (WDI) inspections and recommend treatment options. This half-day recertification training provides a focused review of WDI biology, behavior, and identification; legal responsibilities associated with WDI inspections; and proper completion of the NPMA-33 form used in real estate transactions.

Who Should Attend?

This course is intended for professionals whose NEPMA WDI certification has expired or will expire in 2026 and who need to complete refresher training to remain on the NEPMA WDI Registry. If successful, your WDI certification will be renewed for an additional 3 years.

NEPMA WDI Certification 2027 (14 Jan 2027)

NEPMA’s Wood-Destroying Insect (WDI) Certification and Registration Program provides pest management and real estate inspection professionals with the knowledge and credentials needed to conduct WDI inspections and recommend treatment options.

This comprehensive 1.5-day training covers the biology, behavior, and identification of wood-destroying insects; legal responsibilities associated with WDI inspections; and proper completion of the NPMA-33 Wood Destroying Insect Inspection Report. Participants will also learn key inspection considerations and reporting practices relevant to real estate transactions.

The program includes 12 hours of classroom instruction, a comprehensive training manual authored by Dr. George Rambo, and a written registration exam. Professionals who successfully pass the exam will receive a certificate of completion and be added to the NEPMA WDI Registry. WDI registration is valid for three years.

Who Should Attend

This course is designed for pest management professionals and other real estate inspection professionals seeking initial WDI certification. Professionals whose WDI registration is due for renewal should register for the separate WDI Recertification course.

MDAR Category 41 Certification Exam Coaching (25 Feb 2027)

This interactive one day session is designed to help licensed personnel prepare for the MDAR Category 41 Certification exam. It is intended to supplement each attendees already-in-process studying.

Registration Requirements

Licensed applicator for at least two years,
Employed in a pesticide-use related field (such as turf, ornamental, landscape or arboriculture) for two years,
Have a related college degree, technical training or completed a pesticide related correspondence course.

*The state requires at least two years experience in a pesticide related field to qualify to sit for the category 41 exam.*

Preparing for the session - Study Materials

Approximately 1/2 of the 125 questions in the exam are based on core manual material.

MDAR study materials include:

Chapter 132B (Massachusetts Pesticide Control Act)
333 CMR (Massachusetts Pesticide Regulations)
Massachusetts Core Supplement
Northeast Core Manual (Edition 3)

The remainder of the exam is based on Truman's Scientific Guide To Pest Management Operations (7th edition).

While our program cannot guarantee participants will pass the exam, it is intended to offer pointers and tips to help exam takers better position themselves to take the exam.

Each attendee should be on their own dedicated desk or laptop computer with audio and video capability. (The session does not work well on cell phones, tablets or individuals sharing the same computer).

MDAR Core Exam Coaching - Session 2 (18 Mar 2027)

DEADLINE TO REGISTER FOR THIS SESSION IS March 11, 2027

This interactive Core Exam Coaching Session is intended to supplement each attendees already-in-process studying. The study materials from which the state exam is based include:

Chapter 132B (Massachusetts Pesticide Control Act)
333 CMR (Massachusetts Pesticide Regulations)
Massachusetts Core Supplement
Northeast Core Manual (Edition 3)

The source for these study materials can be referenced at the Massachusetts Department of Agricultural Resources' website.

Each attendee will receive a link before the session to download and print work exercises used in the meeting.

While our program cannot guarantee participants will pass the exam, it is intended to offer pointers and tips to help exam takers better position themselves to take the exam.

Each attendee should be on their own dedicated desk or laptop computer with audio and video capability. (The session does not work well on cell phones or tablets).

Pricing & Attendance Policy:

NEPMA Members: $100, Non-NEPMA Members: $125
The registration fee covers the 2 part session training.
The fee cannot be prorated for partial attendance.
No refunds will be issued if you are unable to attend both sessions.

Cancellation Policy:

On or before February 28, 2027: 90% of total registration fee.
Beginning March 1, 2027: No refunds due to cancellation.

For Group/Company Registrations:

You will be required to enter complete contact information for each registrant; add additional attendees using the "Add guest" button on the registration form.
